third day

Today was pretty incredible on a number of levels. We shared the gospel VERY clearly with 15 students, our testimony with about 15 more, hosted an outreach event with about 14 Japanese at a karaoke “bar,” AND….we scheduled what could turn out to be our first “seed” of a Japanese fellowship.

This morning I chose to meditate on the first 10 verses of John 15. What stood out to me was Jesus’ “whatever” statement in verse 7 in comparison with the “nothing” in verse 5. Without Christ we can do NOTHING. When we abide in Him, though, and when His word abides in us, we can ask WHATEVER we want and it will BE DONE for us.

Our “whatever” request is that He would enable us to start fellowships throughout Japan on university campuses.
