"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14

Yesterday I was driving to lunch with a friend of mine from Japan and he asked me how things were going with our preparations to move there.  I explained to him that our primary job right now was to raise enough finances to support ourselves and the ministry in Japan.  When he asked for clarity, I explained that all of my salary and operational expenses are made possible through the donations of friends and ministry partners who have chosen to invest in us and the ministry we are called to.  I then explained that much of my time right now is spent meeting with people to explain our ministry and ask them to partner with us.

The normal response I get when I explain that is, “WOW.  That must be super difficult.  I could never do that!”

His response:  “What a happy life!  What a great job!”  This time I asked him for some clarity since his response seemed so unusual to me.  He then explained, “It must give you much satisfaction to know that so many people love you and believe in your work.”

Amen.  I couldn’t have said it better myself.  Danielle and I feel humbled every time we see a donation made to GCM on our behalf and find it encouraging to no end that so many people love us and believe in the ministry God has called us to.
