In the last 24 hours, I’ve had four different students (representing 3 unreached and “creative access” countries) initiate with me and ask to come visit our church before I even had a chance to invite them.
One student from Turkey that visited our English Club tonight approached me based on an announcement I made about our church and asked if he could attend. He then told me that this week he had walked over to a church building near campus in order to ask more about Christianity and the people he met could not answer his questions. Apparently, they gave him a card of someone (a pastor maybe?) that they thought could answer his questions and told him to contact them to talk. He told me, “I just want to sit down with someone face to face and ask questions about Christianity.” I told him I would love to do exactly that with him and he responded, saying, “I don’t want to just practice English, I want to discuss important things. I want to learn about religion.”
(If that’s not an open door for the word, I don’t know what is.)
