Today I spent an extended amount of “quality” time with the Lord – reading His Word and taking a really long prayer walk around the Imperial Palace. During my walk I began to pray for the groups we may be starting – both for their establishment and health and for God to be glorified in each of the group members lives. It occurred to me that it would be a good idea for the two groups to have some good interactions with each other before we leave and so I prayed about that too. (Not knowing exactly when that could happen!)
Today the ladies (Rebecca and Beth) went to Sophia campus and spent some time with one of the girls in one of the groups. During their time they ran into one of the brothers in the other group and ended up spending the evening together! (Prayer answered?)
Also, there is a good chance that we’ll be able to get more folks from both groups together to spend time together tomorrow evening.
ALSO during my prayer walk, I prayed for the staff at the hotel. I’ve been getting to know some of them a little and there is one Japanese guy here that has been on my heart a lot.
Today when I came in from another walk I asked him if I could pick up the Bibles behind the front desk and we got into a great conversation. He said that the recent earthquakes – not just in Japan but all over the world – have caused him to wonder about the end of the world. I had a chance to point him to Matthew 24 and also Revelation 21 and he is planning on reading those passages. I told him it’s very important to know where you’ll be when the Day comes.
He said he is interested in hearing more. (Although customers came in and we got interrupted.) Please pray for him. His name is Takeshi.
