Salation!

Yesterday Rebecca led one of the Japanese girls here at UNT that we have been reaching out to in a prayer to receive Christ!  I hope to share the longer story in more detail.  It’s been a great joy to watch how the Lord reached out to her.

The challenging part of the news is that she returns to Japan permanently in two weeks.  Rebecca is going to work hard to follow her up well before her return, AND, David and Beth G. are planning on visiting Kyoto this summer.  Hopefully we’ll be able to give her some “tools” for success upon her return.  PLEASE pray for her.  Her name is Keiko.

Last night during our team meeting, we looked at Mt. 16:18, where Jesus says,  “I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”  It’s such a comfort to know that Christ is doing exactly this among the Japanese even now as we speak.  He’s building His church, and we get to partner with Him in that.  And in regards to verses like those found in Ephesians 4, we know that in aspiring to build His Body, we are aspiring to do exactly what He designed us to do.

It was great to have such an apparent confirmation of that as we are planning the trip and praying for the Lord to perform miracles in the lives of Japanese through us.
