"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14

Last night Danielle and I had a couple of our friends from Saudi Arabia over for dinner.  After we moved into the living room and played a game, over dessert, one of them said, “Can I ask you a question?”  I responded, “Yes.”  “Do you know where I can get a Bible in Arabic?”  (His comment was then followed by a long and inwardly happy pause as I sat a little bewildered.) We ended up having a great conversation as a result and I ordered him a Bible online today.

It is always (understatement coming up) a wild ride when you choose to follow the Lord.  We never intended to be reaching out to folks from the middle east.  We started this ministry with a view to reach Japanese.  And we’ve increasingly seen students from all over the world get involved.

Danielle and I’s primary heart is for Japan, and we are in the process of planning to move there.  In the meantime, though, we are trying to leave behind a fruitful and ongoing ministry to international students that results in them not only coming to Christ but developing the passion for Him and for the lost world enough to participate in taking the gospel home with them.  And this dinner last night was one more little “sprout” showing that our prayers are being heard and our efforts rewarded.

Much praise goes to God.
