Psa 128:2 “You SHALL eat the fruit of the labor of your hands…”
I have been meditating on this promise for several months now, and finding layers of comfort from it. Why? Because, for one, I struggle with procrastination. And WHY do I struggle? One reason is because I am fearful that I will mess up something that is really important to me. So, the more important something is, the more I fear beginning it.
This verse has been so comforting to me in that this appears to be a promise for “EVERYONE who fears the Lord.” They SHALL eat the fruit of the labor of their hands. When I first read this before the semester, I started to pray it and claim it in reference to our local international student ministry. And things started to change. We started seeing little glimpses of evidence that the Lord is really enabling us to build a ministry to the nations here at the University of North Texas. And NOW, I’m praying through it in reference to our desires for Japan.
What are we doing all of this for? Because we want to see a church planting movement started in university communities throughout Japan.
Will you pray with me for the Lord to accomplish this “work of faith” with His power?
